Birthmother...
It is very rare for me to really talk about anything specifically personal on my blog. I have always tried to avoid posting information that could be used to specifically identify me, where I work, or my family. But I am feeling that I could use some help now.
I had a lovely weekend visit with my mother and step father over the weekend, and had some good discussions with them. My mother agrees that if she was adopted as I was, she would want to find her birth mother. My Mom is great and she is part of what made me who I am today. But I still would like to know that my Birth Mother is doing alright. The older I get the more I wonder about where she is in life.
I have no regrets or negative emotions towards her. I very much understand what she did... She was 16 when she had me, and the relationship faltered when she had gotten pregnant. Giving me up for adoption was a hard choice for her, but she was right, her education was important. I just hope that choice didn't haunt her and cause her studies to suffer.
Here is what I know about her;
Brenda Mae Davis was her name. She was living in Uxbridge, Ontario at the time of my birth and also enjoyed working in some stables. Supposedly she had a horse, or at least showed interest in the Equestrian Arts. For a while she was living with my birth father. I presume, but am not sure, that he maybe lived on the farm with the horses. She, herself, was adopted. She was the youngest of three sisters. One 2 years older, the other 7 years older. One of the sisters worked in Radio Broadcasting. Which is odd because I also worked in Radio Broadcasting. I used to work with Erin Davis, and so I thought... No.... Wouldn't that be something? But Erin claims to have come from Alberta.
Unfortunately Brenda Mae Davis was a very popular name at the time she was born. The closest possible match I can find is the following "GEORGE IAN ALLAN, b. July 12, 1940, Sudbury, Ontario; m. BRENDA MAE DAVIS, November 18, 2000, Midhurst, Ontario; b. October 07, 1965, New Market, Ontario.". That would make her the right age, and roughly in the right location to be my birthmother. But after marrying Mr. Allen, she disappears. Even if I search using Allan as a last name.
I would appreciate any help in finding her. It would be great to reunite.
